Terms & Conditions
- Your booking will be secured on receipt of a deposit, which must be received within 7 days. Until we receive your deposit along with the signed contract, the booking will be classed as provisional. Once the deposit & contract is received, the booking will then become legally binding for both parties.
- Payment can either be made in full prior to the event, or on arrival. Under no circumstances will the entertainment start until full payment has been received.
- Rob Lees ensures that he has Public Liability Insurance, his equipment is PAT tested and is CRB checked at the time of engagement.
- The client is to provide a suitable performing area. Unless otherwise agreed, the client must provide an electrical supply meeting or exceeding British Standards where electrical equipment is to be used as part of the performance, and ensure that the supply will not carry any malfunction or damage the equipment. The client should supply two 13 amp 240 volt sockets on a minimum 16 amp supply at the working position.
- The client may request an extension to the agreed playing time at Rob’s discretion in accordance with the following: Agreement is sought by the client, from the owner/manager of the venue. The overtime fee must be paid before the contracted finish time.
- The client is responsible for the conduct of their guests. If at any time during the event, Rob feels that his equipment or person to be under threat, either verbally or physically, he has the right to terminate the contract without notice, and no refund will be made to the client in these circumstances.
The Client is responsible for the safety and security at the venue and shall evict any persons causing nuisance to Rob Lees or Rob Lees' Assistant.
- In the event of any damage or loss of equipment or material provided by Rob Lees for the purpose of performance by persons on the premises, the Client shall be liable to pay In Full the repair or replacement costs of equipment and the hire of necessary Equipment or material during replacement time and to compensate any loss of work due to the damaged/lost equipment. Failure to pay these costs will result with further action taken.
- In the unlikely event that our equipment should totally fail (excluding circumstances beyond our control i.e. a power cut) a pro rata refund will be given for the time remaining. Back up equipment is always carried.
- If the booking is cancelled by the client, the deposit paid is not refundable. Bookings cancelled within 14 days of the function must be in writing, and will be subject to the balance being paid in full to Rob Lees.
- It is responsibility of the client to inform of any restrictions, i.e. Noise Limiters, Time Restrictions, Smoke Detectors etc. Before booking a package that includes dry ice or smoke machines, it is the client’s responsibility to check if there are any restrictions with the venue.
- The sound and lighting equipment is not available for the use of anyone else at any time during or following the function and microphones are not handed out for post party sing-a-longs.
- In the very unlikely event of illness or accident, and Rob Lees is unable to fulfill the engagement, immediate contact will be made and a medical certificate will be submitted within 4 days, and alternative entertainment of the same standard and fee will be offered. Should Rob Lees be unable to supply any substitute then Rob Lees shall become liable to compensate the Client for loss of revenue up to an amount not exceeding the booking fee.
